Plea for Donor Match

My dear friends

First and foremost I hope you, your family and loved ones are well and healthy, navigating through these very difficult times we are living in. I have a special request/favor to ask. There is a great man in need of our help.

Shahin is a 57 year-old Iranian-American Neurologist in NY who has two rare and aggressive forms of Lymphoma that can only be treated with a stem cell transplant. Unfortunately, a match has not been found among his relatives, and the best match will likely be a healthy 18 to 44 year-old donor of Iranian or related ethnicities (Middle East, South Asian, and the Caucuses).

We need your help and support to inform your community members and organizational contacts of our search for a matching blood stem cell donor for Shahin, and to also bring awareness to minority communities so more donors are inspired to register with the “Be The Match"

You can join us at the donor drive in the attached flyer, but if you can't do that, there is a link on PACI's main page where you can join the National Marrow Registry from the comfort of your home:

As I have been saying for years, joining the marrow registry is a chance you have to make an incredibly huge difference in this world. You can literally SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE. Please do it.

PACI has helped save many lives, I urge you to take the step to add one more of those saved lives to our list.

Thank you.
